We stopped at Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park on our way to Saugatuck, and it ended up being our favorite adventure of the entire weekend! The park offers plenty of opportunities to get up close with the animals, but the budgie aviary was the biggest surprise for us. We had never fed so many birds at once, and before long they were landing all over us. My daughter couldn’t stop laughing!
We also loved feeding the giraffes and goats, making this much more interactive than a typical walk-through zoo experience.
⭐ Why I Recommend It
Boulder Ridge surprised us in the best way. What we expected to be a fun stop on our way to Saugatuck ended up being our favorite adventure of the weekend. The hands-on animal encounters made it especially memorable for the kids, and it’s a place we’d happily visit again.
